Live PLO, swings, buy ins, transition, stuff!
I prefer PLO to NLH, but I have encountered a little downswing and I'd like your:
A) experience with downswings with live plo.
B) anything useful worth sharing to someone relatively new to the games?
It seems the general consensus is 40 buy ins or so for live plo, so with a 5 bring in a 20k roll would be sufficient?
I'm currently on a 7 buy in downswing (one buy in =500 bucks) which really isn't a lot considering the volatile nature of PLO, however since PLO is new to me it feels like a lot, especially coming from a hold em background.
I always hear people say buy in shorter but I mean the less bb you play with the higher the swings will be since you won't ever have enough money for fold equity or hand protection stuff.
I have read Jeff Hwangs books and they seem to be really good, however many concepts do not apply when stacks are shallow and boring.
I'm considering moving to online PLO because live is SO few hands per hour, any suggestions for a US player?
thanks!
