Live 5 / 5: Top 2
Hi guys,
I recently played a live hand in a superfishy 10 max line up in my hometown in Germany, all players at the table had basically no understanding about the game. Mostly older gentleman who play for fun. I am not totally sure how to play this hand, would appreciate your thoughts!
UTG limps
MP1
MP2 raises to 30
I call with AsJs9d5d in CO
Bu calls 30
SB calls 30
BB calls 30
UTG calls 25
so we are 6 way on the flop (as in almost every pot), pot is 180 and I have 600 Euro left. 2 Player are short (ca. 300 Euro) the other ones are around 1000 Euro deep. All players are very weak and non-aggressive, like to call weak hands.
Flop:
Jh5h3
Everybody checks to me, I have top2, nothing else.
Deeper I would Check behind / give up, no turn will be good for me. But with an SPR of 3,5:1, what is the optimal play? Still give up? A bit confused since you never have 6 way pots online.
What are your thoughts?

pot flop for sure. Than probably pot any non heart turn
What's all this talk about giving up when we have top 2 and no one's shown interest in the pot?
Agree with Ephedrine. I think a flop bet of 150-180, planning to shove if cked to on non heart turns. On straight completing turns, it's likely a villain will lead into you with any straight because they are scared of a heart coming. On cards like a T,Q,K if an opponent bets into you, it's a tough decision, but I'd feel comfortable shoving if cked to.
I made a little mistake in my writings above, I had a little over 800 left on the flop, not 600. Does that change your opinion?
The thing is, we are 6 way, so it could also likely be that there is a set out there. It would be really nasty if a deepstack C/R. (I guess I need to calculate the odds of somebody having a set 6way in that situation, to get a clear answer... which program is suited for that? )
Furthermore, if people are calling their Flushdraws, I am not pushing such a big equity edge by betting the flop.
On the other hand, I don't many other way to play the than bet+broke or Check+give up.
Halfpotbet+fold vs deepstack / call vs shorty might be an idea in such a passive lineup...
Odds Oracle or Poker Juice can tell you how often someone has a set. If you don't have either of those you should also be able to figure it out with propokertools but it might take a little more work on your part.
I think bet-folding vs deeper stacks could be an okay option, it's not like anyone is going to exploit you with a light check-raise here. Top two isn't a monster here, but it's a pretty good spot for us overall. Even if we decide to check it's not necessarily a give up, we can still play the turn. It's not time to run screaming from the hand just yet :)
BOMB on the flop man and fold to a x/r. Really simple pot, the way you are describing it they play so traightforward you can pretty much bomb on any turn if you just look at how they act.
