I was worried about the two other guys behind me so I just folded. Also, there aren't many turns that make me happy. Is it a good fold or is it too weak?

you are Oop with a weak draw and just TPTK.
lot of people have to talk after you.
if you hit ur gutshot, you're not sure to make value and your opponent may have a lot a implied against you.
thinking the fold is totaly ok and if i play a similar spot, my question is more 'how often calling here will be profitable postflop?'
i'm not really sure you'll hit so often strong and clear in this spot.
- you hit, its hard to make money
- you miss, you only lose the preflop call
- you hit a part of the board, you may lose more money.
maybe fold preflop is the better way. i'm not so sure but...
A fairly clear fold OTF imo
When I make peels like this I always end up feeling like I'm just burning money. Marginal, non-nutty hand OOP, not a lot of turns we like...I also fold this pre-flop. It maybe be that the reason I can't call pre-flop or on this flop is I'm not skillful enough to make it profitable on future streets, not sure.
You guys are making me doubt my preflop ranges because I call this type of suited ace hand 100% of the time in a multiway pot. I'll look into my him and let you guys know.
the flop will give a FD ~~ 55% but you will find it with a one suited hand only 11% of the time. 4/5 when the flops came with two suited cards => you'll not have a FD !
if you hit part of the board (pair/weak draw + BDFD) you'll be in a bad position and it will be hard to value bests hands
not enough hit & hard to make value the rest of the time
Can't find that hand grouping in hm but my instincts still tell me it's a call in a multiway pot. I think I'll get it in vs lower flushes or flush draws often enough to make this profitable. No way to know for sure but folding feels too nitty.
It would need a very weak and face up opposition to wanna call this pre, even tho every vid i watch seems to suggest it to weak to fold here
pre is close and it just depends on whether or not any of the players are marks. If they're all pretty good (ie if even the recreationals are competent and thoughtful) and aggressive I have no problem with a preflop fold.
of course if we play really really well postflop I think it's a pretty easy call. like I don't expect PG will be folding this hand in a cash game ;)
I fold both times - pre id call AQ53 vs avg opposition and AQ54 vs pretty much anyone; the deuce hurts you a fair amount since you flop less straight draws and almost all the ones you do are both non-nut and gutshots. on the flop you have top pair and a bad gutter on a twotone board facing a cbet thats pretty large given the board texture. if you call, your best case scenario is that you go hu to the turn with an spr of ~1.5, meaning you should be willing to get the rest of your money in pretty frequently - and i dont count all that many favourable turns for you.
