Is this how Pro's think when playing a PLO hand?

BB: Dii" marce18: $2.50
UTG: samaleks: $2.39
HJ: gnideox: $5
CO: Cauchy10: $7.03
BN: melacmil1899: $8.45
SB: tigertonkin: $11.83
Ok, I have watched Melacmil1899 raise every un-opened pot on the BN. Plus his VPIP is sky high. Must be around 75% of hands. I haven't got my HUD working but everyone else is playing super tight, so I know I can widen my range on this guy.
Preflop ($0.07) (6 Players)
tigertonkin was dealt K A 8 T
samaleks folds, gnideox folds, Cauchy10 folds, melacmil1899 raises to $0.15, tigertonkin raises to $0.50, Dii" marce18 folds, melacmil1899 calls $0.35
So I get dealt my hand and decide that if it folds to the BN, I am going to 3 bet his raise. My hands ok and I am pretty sure its above his range. If I get 4 bet I will call as I am OOP.. Anyway I do 3 bet to the size of the pot and he calls.
Flop ($1.07) A J 2 (2 Players)
tigertonkin bets $0.85, melacmil1899 calls $0.85
Obviously I hit this flop pretty nicely, and decide to C-bet just over 3/4 of the pot. The BN calls which I then try to elimate cards from his hand such as (Trips & 2 pairs, which I think he would probably re-raise with.)
Turn ($2.77) A J 2 8 (2 Players)
tigertonkin checks, melacmil1899 bets $1.50, tigertonkin calls $1.50
The turn hits my nut flush draw. This is where I used to just bet out or try to check raise for value but decide because he plays LAG and to make myself look weak that I will check/call his bet with the plan to take it on the river. I thought here that he may have hit A 8 but other than that I put him on a draw with a hand like 10 9 X X or maybe the Q flush/weak flush. The fact I had K 10 d in my hand I didnt want to bet to scare him off he did have the flush
River ($5.77) A J 2 8 J (2 Players)
tigertonkin checks, melacmil1899 bets $5.51, tigertonkin raises to $8.98, and is all in, melacmil1899 calls $0.09, and is all in
The rivercard was a massive Scarecard for me and he basically bet all-in. So I ran through the hands in my head and felt if he had A J or trips he would of raised on the flop so I called feeling confident my flush was good.
Final Pot
tigertonkin has K A 8 T melacmil1899 has T 2 7 T tigertonkin wins $16.25
Already I feel like there are things I wasn't doing. Such as I couldn't place him on a range of hands because he is so LAG, so the only thing I did was eliminate what he couldn't have.

I also didn't think 'what does he think I have'. (But do I need to think like this at this micro-level?) I feel like I do need to because if I don't I will fall into a trap and get owned at higher levels.

1) Is this how you should be thinking throughout a hand?
2) What else do I need to focus on or leaks to fix to improve my game?

HI, firstly i cant say for 100% certainty that a higher stakes player is or isnt playing it this way, its unlikely but not 100%...so its hard to say, if the Villain is holding say top 2, set, etc then obviously the standard play for him is to raise and not make it easy for them to drawn out on, but you basically had it minus a few things, when he bets the turn on the completed flush, hes saying that hes got a flush basically iuf he had 2 pair then hes not betting for value, and at these low stakes i doubt he's turning his 2 pair into a bluff, as you get higher you'll need to get better reads on your opponent, (like how often does he turn his two pair into a bluff on 3 flush board etc).

back to what i was saying, when he bets the turn, he's either got a flush or doesnt, sets are out cause they raise, two pair is out cause it either raises the flop or if he's playing cautious then he's checking the turn, so betting is air or flush, (and yes id say one pair is no better than air in this situation), so when he bets the Jd, he's now doing one of two things, he's either bluffing or has the nuts, he could of had a hand like J2hhQ4dd, all you have to do is figure out would he have played his nuts like this....it depends on how raise happy this guy is.....it wouldn't take long to realise what he likes to do, if you figure out hes raising 2pair with the second nut flush before the paired board hits on the river then its a easy call/shove against this villain...

and to answer part 2)
reads, when he has it, does he just call in position and raise the river...or with his monsters does he like to raise, etc, how often is he turning his 2 pair hands into a bluff, or how often is he not raising the flop with sets, basic stuff like that makes rivers alot easier,

He might be a player that like to peel off the flop with a set and hope for a blank on the turn, didn't get one but wasn't ready to fold, might of been folding to a blank on the river...if he has these tendencies then its less of a call...etc etc.

Please heart if you liked it or let me know where i went wrong if you didnt :)

I think this line is fine so long as you know he's spewy-aggressive postflop as well as pre. If he's floated the flop a lot and bets religiously when checked to, you'll just get him to give you a ton of gifts with this line. However, my expectation (although I've never played these games) is that even the preflop spewers are unlikely to be particularly aggressive postflop. In that case, I would prefer just betting turn, shoving river w/ this hand to make sure villain gives his entire stack away w/ a small flush etc. Given what villain showed down, it looks like he was certainly spewy enough that your line will max value versus him so that's fine.

Your play was okay, as can't imagine scenario where u could have got equal amount of money from your opponent. It's passive play (never optimal), but your opponent is bad-LAG, so you could count on his bluffing barrels a lot.
If he was good LAG player but played tricky flop having AJ at least, you would be in problem with your turn play. Aggressive players can sometimes play dodgy....Firstly I would have bet full pot on flop.
Then, I would either:

(a) bet full pot turn and check call the river if the board pairs
(b) check raise the turn ( I would consider even check-raise to cca 3$ if he bets half pot i.e. 1,5$ and by this "min-raise" induce his ALL IN bluff or whatever)

That's just how I see it, doesn't need to be "way to play".....
