Interesting Preflop Spot with AAxx (10/25/50 PLO)
It's late at night, the game is 10/25 with 50 straddle. The minimum buyin is 1k, which kinda wrecks the game to a degree, but the min-buy players are recreational and bad, so it's not a huge issue. Very soft game, half the table is stuck and tilting.
UTG: $3500 (Hero)
UTG +1: $15000 (fishy tilting reg, been opening loads of hands)
MP1: $1000 (ss fish)
MP2: $900 (ss fish)
BTN: $6000 (HUGE fish, pretty much 0% f3b, important consideration in the hand)
I limp $50 utg with AA72cc (player behind me is aggro and opens alot, but doesn't 3b much, and will just call if I choose to open), UTG +1 raises to 150, MP1 call, MP2 call, btn calls, and back to me. I re-pot to $1000, utg+1 folds, and everyone else calls.
Flop: JhTc3h ($4250).
I have 2.5k back and am fighting for an empty side pot vs the fish. I think I can get it in good on a lot of
textures where he has 1 pair, and he calls off with anything that's a gutter or better as well. Unfortunately this texture hits his random 4 cards fairly well and if he has a pair he probably also has gutter+, maybe even a FDs which I am doing very poorly against.
I don't think I really have an equity stake to protect in the main pot vs the other 2 all-in players. THat is, their holdings are going to be a favorite vs mine in this spot and it's not worth giving them protection for an empty side pot. But additionally maybe I can get it in ahead on side pot too, since he calls off with any pair, naked gutter etc. Althought it's unlikely, and I think most of the time I am behind on the side pot.
Another option would be to size down my 3b and make it 500$, and hope one of the short stacks reship so I can re-iso, but they don't really think on that level and are probably just going to flat 500$ instead and it'll be the same scenario except with half the money in the pot (bad for me).
Thoughts? x/f? ship flop? Just limp call pre the 150$ and try to flop FD, A-hi flop? (since it's unlikely the shorties fold after putting in 15% of their stack). l/c is a reasonable choice too if the pot is going to go multiway every time?
