Let's say we start around 200bb. We're on BB w/ KQJ9ss or QTJ8ds. We 3bet and get min 4bet or 1/2 pot 4bet and we decide that he's very wide (let's say he's 3betting like 50% so u expect him to 4bet a lot too). You 5bet and he calls. Flop comes 234r or 345r. Do you shove? What if spr is 1 and what if a bit higher like 1.3 or 1.4? At what point do you not shove?

STAV12 years agoI think that it's a big assumption that a villain who 3 bets a lot also 4 bets a lot. I find that to be not true. Even if the case, what is your 5 bet going to accomplish except putting a lot of money in a pot pre with a hand that could be behind his range and you're OOP. Just call the 4 bet.
