HU: Bluffcatch Spot on River
BB: $56.32
SB: $116.31 (Hero)
SB: $116.31 (Hero)
Villain has been playing passively for the most part. However, I have caught him making some spazzy bluffs earlier in the match. I also have a read that he is tilted from previous hands.
Flop
($2.59)
Q
7
6
(2 Players)
BB checks,
Hero bets $1.56,
BB raises to $5.20,
Hero calls $3.64
I opt to call is c/r, pretty standard I think. He has been giving up a ton of flops, and not c/r'ing with a high frequency at all. At this point, I would put some strong (nut?) flush draws, sets, and two-pairs in his range.
Turn
($12.99)
6
(2 Players)
BB bets $8.50,
Hero calls $8.50
When this turn comes, it brings up an interesting spot. He's repping a strong hand and won't often give up on this card. However, I have the Q and 7 blocked. I opt to call here, planning to decide on non-FD completing cards.
River
($29.99)
2
(2 Players)
BB bets $19.83
Do you think I can call here?

What's your hand?
Q7xx
You can call if you know him to spazz a lot on the river. When passive players take this line though, it's usually because they have something that beats your Q7. I don't know exactly how they come up with that line, but what I do know is that the average passive player will have you beat way too often for this to be a call.
If you have a read it's different though. Know your opponents. When you made player notes on him after he spazzed earlier, I hope you noted the exact situation and whether he turned air or made hand into bluff, and on what type of card it was (scare card or blank). Same thing if he took similar lines and actually had it.
