How often do we CBet AAxx on these flop textures OOP in a 3bet pot?
Hey guys this is my first post since becoming a member on these forums so forgive me if I'm doing a terrible job explaining. Been playing PLO for a month now and really enjoying the game so far due to it's complexities and the weird spots you find yourself in.
So lately I've been running into these situations lately in which I'm conflicted on whether or not to Cbet our AAxx OOP on some flops.
The ones that have gotten me into most trouble so far are usually boards with 2 cards between Q-8, with or without a flush draw..
At the site I play, most of the players are extremely aggressive with any 2 pairs or sets in these 3 bet pots and I often find myself getting repotted if we Cbet so I feel by Cbetting we gain value from very little hands that we beat, and on the other hand we are almost always behind when reraised.
You could argue that we are betting for protection but the problem is a number of his 3bet calling range consists of wraps/2 pairs/sets that are almost always getting it in on these flops so I feel cbet folding on these board textures can lead to quite a massive leak.
My solution right now is to throw in some checks for balance for the times I actually 3bet with rundowns that connect with these flops.
If the player IP checks back we get to reevaluate on turn cards on whether or not to delay cbet our AAxx combos.
If he bets, we could decide whether or not to peel for any potential backdoors that we have depending on stack sizes and his tendency of shutting down on scare cards to turn out hand into a bluff on later streets.
Another solution I've been thinking of is to cbet small but on the site I play, most people take that as a weakness and could be repotting with things such as top pair or even KK. Players are extremely out of line here which is why I lean towards that passive side whenever I'm OOP in these games.
I'd like to hear what your thoughts are and if I left out any information, do let me know. Will try to fill in as much as I can.
