im reading all of your posts and comments, and i do realise how far behind i am. I started playing PLO year ago, and my pot odds are stil at its basics. I did reading of basic poker books, but i would really appreciate recommendation on suggested reading on a little bit more advanced math for plo and exact betting and pot sizing and odds.
Thank You v much everyone
Aleksandra~
PS- I thought plo low stakes was best place to post such a beginners question

i don't think there are many books on PLO out there that would improve your game any more than just posting hands and commenting on hands in this section of this site. Books aren't going to give you an exact answer on "how big does my bet need to be in this situation" because poker has so many variables that there is no right answer. Don't look for an exact science, just fully focus your mind on the HH's posted and it can do wonders for your game. As a rule of thumb, when reading posts, ask yourself "Why?" a LOT

Thanks, thats what i usually do, but when i do rad posts i usually get into posts alike : SAM LANG we are risking 13100 to win 9972, so need him to fold ~57% of the time for this to be profitable, and i dont know how he calculated the number 57 procent..i usually approximate...but was wondering can i somehow come up with as exact numbers ..and yes .. i wasnt sure do i need such maths as well :) thank you for your kind suggestion on focusing on reading HH posted :) great advice~ very much appreciated~ TY

The way you calculate how often the bluff needs to work to be profitable: The amount you but divided by the size of the pot after your bet before any other action.

To use your example: betting 13100 into 9972 you need a fold in 13100/(13100+9972)=0,568 to be profitable. But this super basic poker theory and not omaha specific at all.

The maths is pretty much just for analysis after the hand, and you by no means need to do this stuff or know how to do it, you wouldn't have time to do it in actual play, however you need a good intuition for it etc. maths really isn't that important in being a good player, it's somewhat of an indicator, but really just thinking in terms of exploiting and adapting to opponents etc. and being good at deductive logic is far more important than the statistics behind it
