Going to Las Vegas

Hello, I am planning to travel to Las Vegas with the intention of playing PLO500 to PLO1000, you think it will be profitable considering that I should spend approximately $ 5000 on the trip and hotel to go a month, please tell me your experiences in both cash tables in Las Vegas and what it's like to live there

I live in Vegas (Moved here less than a year ago) and I've dabbled in the live PLO games. The place that primarily runs PLO is Aria. They have a 1/2 PLO but its really a 1/2/5 (5 bring in) and that game is usually very soft. 500 max buy in.

Then they have their standard 2/5 PLO game even though its 2/5 with a rock (10 bring in mandatory by whoever won the previous pot and action starts to the left of it). 2k max buy in. There are a few solid regs who play that game and usually at least a few people who are clearly not that strong and sometimes a massive fish. It's a swingy game, especially since you get so few hands per hour but you should be able to make a good hourly in that game.

They run 5/10 PLO and higher but I've never played those.

Living in Vegas is relatively cheap (compared to major U.S. cities). It's got really good food, and great night life obviously. Even though its a desert, there are some decent hiking spots around the red rock mountains if you're into the outdoorsy stuff.

If you live right on the strip, it'll be a bit costly. If you live 10-15 away from the strip, its much cheaper but of course you have to be able to drive to the strip everyday if you want to play live. I wouldn't live too close to the strip as crime is much higher in those areas and the 5-10 min away from strip areas are also much older and run down. 3 best places off strip to live are usually summerlin (most expensive ~20-25 min away from strip), Southwest (~15 min away, cheap), Henderson (~15-20 min away, medium price).

Hey! I have been there this summer the wsop. Aria and the Rio wsop were the 2 main places for plo. The Rio wsop field was considerably weaker then the one in Aria. There were More tables as well to choose from. The problem is there is only action at Aria Now, So if you can, ii suggest u going for the next wsop, Thats the most profitable period. Ofc if you Wanna go Now, there is Aria and even the regs wouldnt cause any problem to beat for an online player. There is a mobile app called bravo poker live, that you should download and see What live games are currently going.
Gl at the tables !

Used to live there. Peak season is Memorial day through last day of the WSOP, and all holiday weekends. Go then. PLO games are pretty reg-infested the rest of the year. A few 10/25 and 25/50 PLO pros are masters of game selection, and will drop down to the 1/2/5 and 2/5/10 games on a regular basis depending on the player pool across the stakes.

That being said, there will always be visitors the rest of the year, but the money during off-peak times is not near as good as during peak season.

Best of luck.

Sure some of the live regs play good but i believe most of them wouldnt beat plo200 online, probably even plo100 on PS/party. so good plo100-plo200 online reg would be among the best at 2-5 live. Especially in Vegas since sthere is always tourists to throw money :)

just my opinion of course
