general question(s) about swings
nb : in this post, i'm reasoning in AIEV adjusted (too avoid the variance coming from pure luck/badluck, which is not very interesting)
Yesterday, I was looking to my lifetime results and looking for some things.
And I saw something that shocked me a little :
I was looking to the best sessions and worst sessions I had lifetime, and I saw that there are far more "nightmare sessions" (loosing ~15 stack / ~2K$ AIEV adjusted) than "dream sessions (winning ~15 stacks / ~2K$ AIEV adjusted).
And not close, a ratio like 3 nightmare sessions for 1 dreaming session.
This surprised me because I am lifetime winning quite big at my stakes (PLO100-PLO200), and was surprised that having (much) more epic failing sessions than big winning sessions
of course, I can't say that I play my optimal poker when things are running awful, but I don't monkey tilt too.
Is this standard ? Have you experimented the same thing ?
In my mind, I don't find it "logical", and I wonder if it points some leaks of my game / my game approach in general
