General question : 6543ds in a squeezed pot
SB: $50
BB: $64.05
UTG: $48.50
HJ: $67.09 (Hero)
CO: $64.09
UTG raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, CO folds, BN folds, SB folds, BB raises to $6.25, UTG raises to $20.50
Hey guys,
during my session I found a spot that find is worth a discussion.
Let's not argue about my first call and assume both villains here are regulars, UTG always has AA after 4betting and BB is squeezing a tightish, but polarized range (so AA and good ds rundowns, but no AKK* hands unless they are premium)
Can we avoid making any postflop mistakes by simply reshoving preflop? I've done some quick math with PPT, not sure how correct my syntax is, appreciate every help I can get with the calc.
As you propably can guess, the times we get it in and both players have AA we are doing great:
Interestingly enough (at least for me), even when BB has all combos of double suited rundowns between AKQJ and T987 we are not doing any worse, but our equity stays at about the same number:
It seems that by shoving pre we actually push an equity edge and, other than that, avoid scenarios where we call preflop and have to fold OTF, while we apperently get it in preflop profitably.
So what's your opionion on this guys, I have the feeling that many of the midstakes+ guys propably already figured it out a long time ago what I'm posting right now (if it's correct in the first place).
The other interesting thing would be to find the bottom range we can shove profitably and avoid any kind of postflop mistakes in such spots.
Cheers !
