I'm very new to plo and I remember hearing somewhere that if you get more than 1/3rd of your stack in preflop you can go with your hand no matter what. Is that bad advice? Or does it not apply when the hand is 3way instead of heads up?

I really felt like i was beaten but didn't fold due to the price i was getting.
