Fishy Micro Cash games
I find games where the participation rate is REALLY high....sometimes over 60% at full tables. It's a radical departure from zoom plo.
The standard is for everyone to limp or perhaps min raise and which point everyone calls to see who will flop the best hand. It's not unusual to see a pot go 7 or 8 way to the flop. When I saw this I thought it would be like scooping up cash with a bucket. It's actually pretty hard to play.......even if you wait for a premium hand and pot raise over 6 limpers IP - they all call! It's really hard to get a pot hu. Most hands don't play too well against so many others. Having said that they will usually fold either on the flop or turn to big raises because their ranges are so weak. Sometimes they check down with the nuts....so it's also really hard to know what they have. Either that or they blast away with non nuts hands which is good.
I know the standard strategy is to wait for strong hands and just value bet 3 streets and hope that someone has the 2nd or 3rd nuts and comes along. It gets in some awkward situations though because of equity forking as the hand develops. They can be quite sticky correct or not.
Any thoughts on strategy?
