HI PLO lovers,

I have no reliable information about Villlain b/c I only got 4 hands tracked.

On the flop I consider his calling range quite large, despite the fact that he calls my bet with UTG left to act.
On the turn Villain completes his flushes and other hands that got me beaten but my hand is too good to fold in this spot, so I decide to call and to wait for the action on the river.
On the river I consider to make a block bet b/c I have the 4th nuts (only beaten by 77xx-, AAxx- and A6xx- combos) and would only get raised if I'm beaten.

However I decide to check and consider to fold my hand if Villain bets potsize b/c on this board I think in the most cases he would value bet potsize only with the above mentioned combos. On the other hand Villain would probably chose this bet size if he is bluffing.

Unfortunately Villain bets and forces Hero to make a decision. Should Hero call or fold?

Any thoughts are welcome! :-)

Just complete pre without a second suit, imo.

I'm checking this flop or betting a little smaller. It's not supposed to hit us often, and we're blocking a lot of our opponents' continues (though 98 and hh may stick around... maybe some overpairs, depends).

I also don't think we want to get overzealous with our FH here. If one of our opponents has 6xxx, then they are probably not folding and our equity is not bulletproof. We can't deny equity effectively at all in this spot, and we don't necessarily want the pot getting bigger: we'll be out of position without the nuts unless we hit the one remaining 6 or a 7.

And because, according to Janda (who I appeal to a lot in thinking through lines), we're aggressive only when we want to deny equity and/or build the pot... we just don't need to be aggressive on this flop.

Because another thing aggression does is strengthen our opponents' ranges on future streets.

If we'd checked the flop, a villain can value-cut with a flush much more easily on this turn and river. Their turn range is way more 6xxx- (and 77xx-) heavy if we bet flop.

Anyway, as played: I think check/calling turn is fine, but if you're doing that then I don't think you can fold the river. Nothing really changed.

Against a microstakes unknown, I think you generally just want to keep the pot small(er) with a strong non-nut hand like this and get to showdown.

(Btw, AA for villain, while possible, needs to be discounted a bit due to their lack of 3bet. And villain can absolutely be betting a flush like this at PLO10 without additional information.)

Thx for your thoughts.devwil, especially on the need of aggression in his spot.

You say: "Against a microstakes unknown, I think you generally just want to keep the pot small(er) with a strong non-nut hand like this and get to showdown."

I think from the Turn on I exactly did this. However the pot may had been smaller if Hero checks the flop, as there is a fair chance Villain checks behind the flop.

The clearest mistake is probably to raise this marginal hand preflop.out of position.
