Everyone knows this is a standard play, if u can put 1/3 of your stack with aces preflop, u just do it. But recently I've been wondering does this play really applies to bad~weak aces? Of course this is not the worst aces out there, but it is definitely weak one. In this particular hand I got enough equity even against QJ** otf , but overall does 4betting marginal aces really worth it (specially unsuited ones)?
I don't know math behind this play, maybe considering the times your opponent folds it could be slightly EV+ plus play, but every time I do this it feels wrong like I'm overplaying or something.
This hand might not be the ideal hand to discuss because other players might come along but I think its safe to assume they will fold most of the time ...
