Dilemma of betting air IP against floaters (whales)

Hi

I have encountered this situation several times. I open MP with QT98ss and get called by a very big fish (say 80/10/5) in BB.
Flop is : A46ss (no FD for me)

He is not folding almost anything, and he stabs the turn very often after I chb the flop (say 60% of the time)
Possible strategies against this opponent:

1, okay he is a disgusting floater so i cbet because its my range and punish him by double and tripple barrels (he has a lot of junk that called and will have to fold later)
*problems with this: OFC "one and done" here is clearly unprofitable. But my double and tripple barrels will be blind and this is blockerless air. Just to see him calling the river with unimproved Axxx or shitty 2pair...

2, just check back the flop and be done with the hand and the very likely turn stab will come and you will have to fold and feel terrible, as you know that he probably has nothing on the turn. And you did not cbet a board which is your range, against a 90-5% BB range. Feels even worse if you are UTG or if you have 3 bet pre.

I am sure every one of you have been in such a situation so share your thoughts please.
*PS: i think, all flopcbet/or not situations are derivative of this extreme exapmle: just with more equity, less stationy opponent, more blockers, less stabby opponent-more delayed cbet options.
