Hi ex nl player, played plo for few months, I'm looking to connect with some dedicated mid 6m plo players to review databases/hands share/talk strats w/e.

bigrandombob12 years agoQuick question for a situation that happens alot. Assuming all 100bbs and you flat a pfr open in position with bad KKxx for set mine purposes. If someone sqz's and the original pfr flats, is this a fold here? I get the feeling it is, but i'm not 100%. HU oop we can maybe get away by flatting then bluff leading into some flop textures but 3w I just don't feel comfortable doing this and therefore really relying on flopping top set to continue.
bogglor12 years agoI would not set mine with bad KKxx in a 3 bet pot and I think it's -EV to call. Your instincts are correct; you will have a very hard time playing your hand when you don't hit a set and bare overpairs play poorly postflop in general multiway.
Teddy12 years agoI´d rather flat the squeeze 3-way with good relative position than call crappy kings to a raise in the first place..
sted900012 years agoI feel that I am having trouble play bad KKxx and QQxx hands as well, facing a raise + ip. We want the pot hu correct? so with looser players behind it makes it more of a fold?. Should we ever be 3b these hands to iso even tho they play so poorly on a large percentage of flops? Or are they so weak that we should be pitching them right off that bat without specific reads?
jonna10212 years agoImo, any KKxx that are weak enough to only flat should be folded to the squeeze. The KKxx that are good enough to call you would probably have 3bet yourself in the first place. You flop a set ~11% of the time, and if you have nothing else to go with your kings you'll end up c/f'ing 85% or more. That's just going to be a losing play, so it's an easy fold to the squeeze imo.
