c/r flop with backdoors
UTG: $26.62
CO: $40.48
BN: $13.05
SB: $20.43
Rake is $1.47
CO is a tight reg playing 20/12/6 and has an 18% opening range in CO.
I decide to call pre although I'm not convinced I'll make profit with this hand oop in the long run vs this kind of vilain who cb a lot. Do you ever fold here ?
On the flop I decide to mix my range a bit and c/r with lots of backdoors to barrel on.
I usually don't c/r too much here. I think he should put me on :
queen + side cards, sets and 2 pairs, pair + draw and wraps, so balancing with backdoors seems ok.
Is the spot good enough considering both ranges ?
On the turn I considered c/ring again in order to easy my river decision, but the King hits his range a lot and he could have slowplayed a set on the flop since it was really dry.
I chose to 2nd barrel since I didn't expect to be raised too often and c/c would put me in a lot of complicated river spots.
As played I have to give up 25/30% of equity on the turn, which is why I wonder if c/ring would had been better.

What about xcalling to see if our equity improves? I'm not sure that building a huge pot OP against a tight player who really likes his hand is the best play even though we do have nutty backdoors
c/c flop to c/r on improving turns commits a lot of money and you'll probably have to fold to a raise. If river bricks, you have no showdown value.
If vilain checks back turn and you don't improve river, you'll have to bluff quite often since you have few to no showdown value.
If the turn bricks and he barrels, you have to c/f which means you will have put money into the pot without any real attempt to take it away.
Finally you can't c/c twice equitywise unless you turn the Ts or Ks, and even if you do, I don't think you have a lot of implied esp oop.
So I just prefer to c/r flop, it can at least win the hand right away for cheap.
