Counting nut outs during play
I play 50PLO and need to stop spewing with bad odds/bad draws.
How often do you find yourself truly counting nut outs on flop/turn? I generally find myself going off of instinct knowing i have nut flush outs, and oh that's a nice OESD and that's about it. Is there a good video or article about practicing this? What are some other suggestions on making yourself count outs?
Thanks

Easy: OESD on board with one or 2 fds = 6 or 4 live outs, so pretty bad facing a big bet. FLushdraw without nut flush = no nut live outs, Nut flushdraw 9outs max, 7 outs OTT gainst sets, sometimes even less when villain has hearts. Anydraw on paired board, potentially drawing dead.
Bottom straight draws: very dangerous EQ 87xx on T9A flop. Also dangerous: J, Q and even k high flusdhraws in mulitway pots. Also overrated: Weak combo draws or wraps on boards with flusdraws.
I count nut outs with about 100% of my draws. As it affects my decision making, it wouldn't make sense not to do it. The more you practise it, the faster it becomes. At the highest level it's automatic.
