I'm not sure what the best line is here...it is very hard for my hand to improve, but I have good odds to check-call. Betting could be good (guess I would have to shut down on most rivers)

I hate getting owned, but I guess that is the peril of playing out of position!

Just wondering if anyone can suggest a better line for this hand, and the reasons for it. Is there any rivers that people check-call ?

Check/call flop probably. Check/fold turn as played.
Preflop and flop are standard. Flop is easy bet. On the turn however, you need to c/f in my opinion. Many players will float wide, but they won't necessarily do it completely randomly. There's some chance you still have the best hand, but you have no way to improve and no way to get your hand to a showdown profitably. So you need to fold.
