AT PLO heads up, when I 3 bet OOP, What will be key points for post flop play..

Hi
I think biggest diffrence between good player and novice at PLO heads up is when you three bet OOP pre flop like hands AAxx, QKJT, etc.. how are are playing if you miss the flop ?

Could you share your comments please?

when you 3 bet OOP pre flop , what is your strategy if you totally miss the flop, if you have a draw, what are you doing according to board texture?

you can also give some specific examples, it will be much more helpful....

thanks for your comments

You should make sure you have a distribution of hands that covers most flops sometimes - but obv your range is somewhat highcard heavy.

Some general flop recommendations:

If the flop misses your range and your hand (say aa on 679s), check/fold
If it misses your hand and hits your range (say dsrd on a-High flop), bet/fold
If it hits your range and your hand (say aa on a high flop), bet/Call
If it hits your hand and not your range (say dsrd on 679s) - or aa+fd, XR

If there are examples you Think Fall in between pls post them!

Thanks for the advice Nikolaj....I'm just learning PLO. This seems like good advice to me. Does anyone disagree with any of this ballpark advice?

I agree with 3/4 statements he made, the last one is wrong imo, especially as no one really checkraise bluffs flops in plo esp on boards like 679s. I am making a cbet if my hand hits a board like that and keeping the initiative in the hand.

If no one XR bluffs why you wanna bet then? If you bet a flop that hits their range and not yours, they will have to (and should) bet almost their entire range. Giving then a tough decision being XR. OP+FD can also be tricky to play on turn oop when being peeled, we prefer to get it in on flop.

Also; if you dont have a XR range, then you will have to fold whenever you check - making you easy to play against.
