50PLO - BN vs BB, Flop set IP…what about turn?

BN: $45.17 (Hero)
SB: $50.25
BB: $66.22
UTG: $75.69
HJ: $50.50
CO: $61.58
Preflop ($0.75) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt 8 J K J
UTG folds, HJ folds, CO folds, Hero raises to $1, SB folds, BB calls $0.50
Flop ($2.25) 6 Q J (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.50, BB calls $1.50
Turn ($5.25) 6 Q J T (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero checks
I think that betting Turn doesn’t give us more value…

While playing I didn’t want to call a x/r from 89+…After reviewing hand I think also villain doesn’t fold good EQ vs our hand…so we don’t add value when betting, not sure about river though…

Can you comment please? What’s your play…?
River ($5.25) (2 Players)

An avg opponent, will probably only c-raise AK+redraw ott or the very rare combos that are at least flipping or better vs AK.

Obv it sucks to get cred ott bc now we will be tempted to call and bluff some rivers (spades mostly) and vbet when we improve but its not a great spot to be in.

He will probably not fold anything that has decent eq vs AK which means he will rarely fold hands that have 25%+ which is alos your read when you said there is little value in betting turn.

However, getting him to fold rando fd+something which will usually have 20%+ vs ur hand does have its benefits.

If he calls with AK K9 89 not a big deal, most rivers we have to check anyway. Sometimes he will call w a combo fd that is a big dog vs ur set, and you have implied. Sometimes he will fold 15-30% eq which is ok - good.

And finally we cant bluff catch very well on the river wo reads+i dont think he will bluff /nerd to bluff so i prefer a bet ott wo good reads.

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

Have you consider/calculate how much our value drops vs his continuation range on the turn AFTER we will bet? Of course I'm not sure I'm right (my reason for posting) but i see you have in mind that villain will x/c a lot and I think almost 1/3 of the time perhaps he should x/r....So I can't see good value when betting because our EQ vs his value/raising hands gives me about 30% max and from his x/calling hands we can get 60%?? Not sure though as I'm talking for my hand and I don't know how that is a problem when we have different combos

There is also a river decision where we are in position but .....does this benefit us or villain when there will be only a 3/4 pot size bet left?

I also lean toward to check back but it depends on our opponent

IMO he will continue FD, Sets(66, QQ which seems like he doen`t have), some clover redraw when we bet again. it also depends on your bet sizing.

we block the K so if he has straight maybe 89.. but it`s second nut.. hard to x/r strongly unless he has A or K blockers.

If he check there are not many cards that we can value bet on the river unless Ts which gives him a flush. other cards can not extract any value from his range. (if he is a normal player not a station)

so if we want to get some value from him, need to bet on the turn and protect our hand but it`s gonna be thin value..
