BTN was unknown to me. He seemed regish on the first couple of hands.

What to do on the flop?
Feel like check/raising is slightly overplayed here. In hindsight I prefer check/calling. However I dont really know how to play turns when I check/call.

vs a complete unknown, i like donking. x-r seems like overplaying our hand...x-cing will be hard vs unknowns ott but its prob considered standard.
this doesnt feel very good. im pretty novice at plo but id like to have some back up here vs a strong range for me to wanna play for stacks on the flop especially when hes gonna have some sets and straights and really huge draws on this board?
better plo players please crush my though process here as im just learning this game
trade the As for Js and i like the play better...
you don't consider 4betting pre co vs btn?
can you paste the hh. like to look at in PJ
i ran some sims.....if this were NLO, and villain 3b 10% and cbets 100% and stacks off with a normal range a x-r ai would be slightly + EV. since he doesnt cb 100%, and we cant x-r ai since its pot limit x-r is almost certainly -EV.
donking flop and folding to a raise, barreling on hearts and and bricks and check deciding on the rest may be a good option, at least vs some.
xcing flop and donking hearts is prob ok vs as well even tho it doesnt accomplish much....xcing and checking deciding100% of turns would probably force us to check fold all turns except spades A T 8 which is why i dont like it, check decide ott usually means check fold. but it may be best and perhaps our only real option that also keeps us out of trouble. as our x-c looks pretty strong (we could play sets and str8s like that) im liking it more and more but we kinda have to hope that villain isnt a relentless barreler.
im not familiar with how 2/4 regs play vs unknown 2/4 regs (assuming he thinks ur a 2/4 or 1/2 reg) so its hard to say. perhaps with our bdfd and 2 overs a xc decide is best.
it would be more interesting without a bdfd, bc xcing just hoping he gives up is usually a great way to set money on fire when playing an aggro reg and there are few turns we improve on
I think that it is close enough to being all in on the flop that the fact that he can call flop with money behind doesn't matter. When we shove turn he is only going to be needing 18.4% to call (148 to win 806) and for that price I don't think he is going to be able to fold any turns.
Agree or Disagree. And if agree, what spr OTT is the cut off point for this being the case- where the fact that opp can call and "play perfectly" after seeing another card. In this case it is 0.3
@sted: good point. the main factor is still his cb range and his 3b range....i dont think any1 cbets this board 100%
This seems like a terrible spot for BTN to cbet vs our co range. Correct?
Im guessing he should check back all his medium strength hands and alot of give ups, and then have some strong blockers hands (?) for his bet/folding range and betting very strong made hands / draws?
Does he even need a bet folding range? am I wrong in thinking he could just check back IP all his medium strength hands + air . And pot all the hands he wants to go with?
If thats the case It looks to me that the whole donking plan of spassewr seems most optimal.
