Your lead seems fine. We refuse to let any free cards get by and if we get raised, we can call it off. Giving free cards in multi-way pots is terrible so your play makes sense. I also like the lead because their is basically some dead money in the pot already from the short stack who could be shoving anything.
On the turn, we have over cards so again I would be betting to force hands out and make weaker hands call. We can't check/call as it doesn't make any sense with our monsters, hands that need protection and bluffs. We would always be betting this turn.
I dont get it. why should we relate differently to different sizing of raise with give spr?
Lmfao, sorry, I have no clue why I wrote that. If we bet, we're going with it no matter what bet size given the spr, is what I meant to say haha
I'm fine with Lifted Mindset analysis until
I disagree with that comment. Once we bet flop (as we should and as hero did), we protect our hand against hands that can turn a fair share of equity. Those hands include backdoor str8 draws, flush draws, small two pairs, gutshots etc. Those hands may check behind on the flop, and on the turn we will have a hard time deciding to bet or not. This decision will even be harder on the river. There are very few scenarios where we check flop and then bet two streets. Il you check flop, bet turn, very rarely your hand will be strong enough to bet river. Most of the time you will be bluff catching.
If we get raised on the flop, I think we just have to get it in. There are very few sets in our opponent's range. With VPIP of 35, there are very few 22xx and 55xx in his range, and we block QQxx. He may even be tempted to raise QXXX to make us fold a hand like KKxx that we may have decided to lead with.
The SPR is about 3.3 You need to bet in the 80% pot size region OTF to shove around pot size OTT. If you are never folding after leading, potting is probably best because the smaller your turn shove the less implieds your opponents get if they are drawing.
We can assume that nobody has AA here since there was no 4bet. Reasons to lead: Protecting our hand, i.e. giving no free cards. Folding out some KKxx. Reasons to check(/shove): Overcbetting/stabby opponents. I think any Qxxx (KQxx,QJxx...) and maybe bare gut shots can cbet here since it is a dry board. We are doing great vs bare TP type of hands btw.
