3bet pot, cause why not?
CO [good regular] 32/26/7.7 af 5.3, 100bb raises 3bb
Hero 26/20/8, BTN 100bb raises 11bb with 9s Td Qd 7s
Blinds fold
Flop is: 8d 2h Kd
Opp calls 3bets fairly frequently and has a good sense of which hands he should CR on the flop. On this particular flop however I don't see him CRaising wide. With a benefit of hindsight I think cbet-folding is better. Nonetheles, at that time I decided to check back because there is a lot of good cards that can improve my hand [7,9,T,J, d, 6,Q]. I know he's going to try to steal on almost every single card with any sort of eq. That being said:
turn is 7h and villain leads for 3/4 pot
1. What are your suggestions regarding my reasoning on the flop? Is cbetting always better in this spot?
2. As played, what is the best play on the turn vs aggresive and thinking opponent and why?
