3b pot vs SB, can we float?

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $10.00 (Hero)
SB: $10.48
BB: $11.83
UTG: $10.48
MP: $10.00
CO: $24.76
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is BN with 9 T 5 8
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.35, SB raises to $1.15, BB folds, Hero calls $0.80
Flop ($2.40) 4 7 K
SB bets $1.45, Hero calls $1.45
Turn ($5.30) 4 7 K 2
SB bets $5.07, Hero folds
Final Pot SB wins $5.07
Rake is $0.23

Nothing on our opponent. So we have a gutter and a weak FD. I suppose this is just odds and implied odds question, yes?
We can probably get a free card and/or some bluffing equity on 3,5,6,8 The rest of the deck is not that great.
Direct odds are 28% I assume our hand might have 30% here. But this is not the case right? Because the 30% is for when we see 2 streets, for one street our equity drops to 15% and heavily relies on implied odds. Vs his betsize id say for only one street we have to win around 50bb to justify the call.
But theres also reverse implied odds with our flush and not very likely we get the 50bb when we bink the gutter.
All in all I suppose that floating is worse than folding?
It would be much appreciated if someone can clear the odds/implied odds situation for me because its a little bit confusing.
Correct me if im wrong but we have to make a descision based on the following:
1) our equity based on counting outs and vs his range
2) direct odds - these are often "false"? For example its for 2 street situation where we are all in and are guaranteed to realize our equity
3) implied odds and how much we have to win when we bink- this is for one street yea?
4) How board changes for future streets. Say for example there are alot of turns that give us range advantage so on these turns we are less likely to face a bet, can pick up equity and have some bluffing/check back spots what makes the realization of our equity easier.

Are the above statements correct or theres more to it?
