CO: $84.73
BN: $50.20 (Hero)
SB: $141.62
HJ folds, CO folds, Hero raises to $0.75, SB calls $0.65, BB calls $0.50
PLO noob here, so bear with me...
Villain was 70/5/0 over 40 hands with 1.7 postflop agg factor. He was displaying goldstar but only 1-tabling.
Preflop is standard I think, raise size is possibly a bit small with antes in play?
On the flop I felt like his range was weighted towards big draws, something like the NFD and some type of straight draw. My reasoning here is that we block top and middle set, AAxx would probably 3bet at least a small % pre, and I didn't expect anyone to go crazy with 99 unless it was specifically 99 with the NFD or something else alongside. With how deep we are, I flat the flop raise waiting to see a safe turn before committing - plan was to fold if the 9 paired or spade draw came in. My only hesitancy was that fishy 1-tablers seem to take this aggro line to protect made hands rather than go for fold equity on big combo draws, but given that we block most flopped monsters I don't see how I can really justify folding this hand.
I'd like an opinion on my thought process here, am I using sound logic here or is this bad/spewy? Being pretty new to this game a lot of spots like this are somewhat fuzzy to say the least!
