$2/$2 $600 live game - flop call or push?
$2/$2 $600 max. No $5 bring in
local casino game usually plays fairly passive with lots of multi way and limped pots. New game only been running couple of months and usually quite a few players not sure what do. But today a player from another casino that plays bigger game is playing and is raising about 80% of hands.
The villain in this hand is a Regular player who thinks he’s all that and a stack of pancakes! He also likes to raise a lot of hands and tell people how great he is.
Hero in UTG +1 with $580 effective
Villain is B.B. with $700 effective
Aggro player from bigger game has over $1200
All others less than $400
The UTG has a $5 straddle on. Hero looks down to Ad Qd Jd 8s and limps in ……… considered raising but I know the guy that’s been raising all the time will probably repot and I kind of want to see a flop with this hand even though my position And hand aren’t great. But I know if I hit the flop hard I will make some money because the 2 players like to “gamble”.
MP player limps, the aggro player who has been raising all time does raise to $25.
BTN , SB, BB & straddle all call. And myself and other limper call.
7 to the flop
Pot - $175
Flop —- Kc Td 5h
SB checks
Villain bets pot
Straddle folds
What does hero do here? 13 outs to straight ,and also have a backdoor nut flush .
Do I call or jam? If I just call and it goes heads up pot will be $525 and I will only have $380 left.
Seen villain play big pairs with nothing else to go with them before like this. Also he could have middling cards & my straight will be better. Or cards similar to mine.
Not really worried about the aggro original raiser as he just likes to raise and make big pots.
What’s my play?
Thx for any insights
