my first 4bet vs him

Here i have a general question about my flop strategy/ balancing on this board.

In the game I decided to cbet less than 1/2 pot thinking that I will do this with most of my range(obv I could 4bet wider than this hand given that his 3bet % is so high) and get minraised.. how do we preceed here?

While I was talking with my friends about this hand, some ppl argue for checking the flop saying that we don't get much value(hmm...) and
it is balanced if we are checking otf with all of my range and he should not be bluffing since my 4bet looks increadibly strong.

Last question is when we can bet/call and happy.(SPR less than 1?)
