1/1/2 w/ AdAhKsQc on the button vs a Raise (w/ history) I 5 bet it
Hero is up to $500 in a $200 buy in game and has the table covered. Stakes are lower than what hero and villian play usually but its a home game. We are 5 handed and have position on villian and have been raising a lot preflop. Villian has $330 to start the hand. I personally do not run good vs villian over the past year at PLO. I just cant seem to beat him in any pot, especially getting it in pre, but I dont let the cloud my judgement here. Villian is loose and aggro preflop and bets flops but gives up turns a lot.
1/1/2 and villian makes it $5. I have AdAhKsQc OTB and make it $15 and we get 3 callers (everyone) and its back to villian who makes it $60.
Villian making it $60 is a rundown hand for sure. Last week we played a pot at $5/5 where I opened for $20 with AATX in EP and got callers, he makes it $70 and its back to me and I make it $300 and he shoved for $500ish with KKQ7 1 suit. Flop came A hi and he backdoor flushed. I mention that hand bc its possible that Villian can have a KK type hand but I dont think so. Its more weighted to 789T 4567 hands which I think is a leak in his game bc why is he raising there IP multiway with smaller rundowns? Anyways, back to the action on me....
It is $60 to me with 3 others in for my 3 bet of $15. I can:
-Call? -Fold? -Raise?
I cant call here and make it multiway with this hand (or can I)? Im never folding. I decide to make it $230 and try to take it down or at least get it HU. I dont think he would ever just flat here when the action gets back to him. It folds back to villian who flats!
On the flop, I cant fold anything at all can I? With $100 behind and $305 in the pot its getting in 100% of the time.
Flop 459 and we get it in.
Questions:
-Should I be 5 betting here?
-How can I take advantage of the villians play? We play a lot together. I tried to be more active and raise him more but these stakes make it hard to do so. But I went into the game with this strategy. Should I continue to do this?
