Let's hypothetically say that 'R' (percent of our equity that we will realize) for Hero here is 80%, or .8. Does R work in a matter such that as R decreases for Hero, R increases for Villain? Or could both R's decrease?

For example, as stated, if Hero's R here is .8, could Villain also have an R under 1, say, .9? Or since Hero's R is <1, does Villain's R have to be >1, say, 1.2? This answer will help with some EV calculations.
