Dedicated Hand History App
Hey guys and gals,
Would like to hear feedback from people who play predominantly live poker - is there an app dedicated for tracking specific hands (what you held, the action, showdown etc.) and if not would that be something that you would use? I see a lot of apps for tracking results but none that I saw have the ability to note down how you played a specific hand.
Having tried to take notes on hands I've played before I've found it inefficient to open a note and then type out exactly what I had and all the action that took place. Wondering if there's a gap in the market here...
Thanks in advance!

I just use the simple note pad app on my iphone. The first line will be the date and location. That way when i look through my notes thats the only thing that comes up so i can select using that info. Then I skip a line, enter the starting hand, position and effective stacks and also any special note suck as 4 handed ect. Next line preflop action. Next line Flop, then next line I list the flop. Next line is flop action. Next line is Turn, then turn cards. Next line is turn action. Then this repeats for the river. So, it ends up looking like this,
1/6/17 Harrahs
AKo utg (1000)
Hero open raises to 35, mp call, sb call
Flop
A T 2 rainbow
Sb checks, hero bets 65, both call
Turn
8c
sb checks, hero bets 215, mp folds, sb calls
River
Ax
sb checks, hero bets 325, sb folds
Hope this helps. I usually email the notes to myself, display then on my screen when me and my coach talk and share screens on skype. Ive been making the notes in this format for a few years and we both are used to looking at them and it works for me. GL
Jordy,
I use voice memos ideally shortly after the hand to capture the most amount of information like my emotions and reasoning for my decisions. It's a great method.

Hey man I use poker analytics 4 it has a really good format for hand reviews and the rest of the app is also really easy to function. Definitely recommend it! You can get it for free but after 10 session entries you have to pay for it and I think its around $40 but IMO it is definitely worth it!
