A5s on Bubble with Big Stack

CO: $1577
BN: $1744
SB: $5999
BB: $4180 (Hero)
(STT) My all-in was correct or not worth the risk in the bubble considering that the villain (SB) was loose and aggressive? But I was probably in front SB, and button was tight.
Preflop ($225.00) (4 Players)
Hero was dealt 5 A
CO folds, BN raises to $300, SB calls $225, Hero calls $150
Flop ($900.00) A 5 3 (3 Players)
SB bets $450, Hero raises to $3880, and is all in, BN folds, SB calls $3430
Turn ($8660.00) A 5 3 7 (2 Players)
River ($8660.00) A 5 3 7 3 (2 Players)
Final Pot
SB has 6 8 Hero has 5 A SB wins $8660

definetly a good play, you just got unlucky. if you win this hand (which you will very often) you will go on to win the SNG a good amount of the time, plus a lot of the time he will probably just have air and have to fold. good shove

Yeah, the probability of winning this hand is great and winning this hand I will have a great probabildade also winning the tournament.

Math says it all:

On given circumstances post flop, knowing both players hole cards, chances of winning are:

HERO: W-64.4% L-35.6% T-0%

SB: W-35.6% L-64.4% T-0%

Not knowing his hole cards you have to think about fold equity, that is - you can assume, opponent has big stack and will fold 70% of a time (because he feels comfortable with his stack) to shove like that. Knowing that you would win aprox. 60-70% of a time when called, this is definitely the right play. As of 65% of all time when called you will have HUGE chip advantage and most likely win the tournament =  gain profit.

If not called, you will gain chip advantage over your opponents anyway and it increases your chances of finishing first. What happens also - you deny willingness for most players to put all their chips in and risk ending behind bubble just with pure draws.

This was just unlucky situation. Basically - this was a good move.
