[zoom][NL50] AQ 3bet SBvsBTN, flop Qhi FD, line check

BN: $66.92
SB: $102.71 (Hero)
BB: $50.32
UTG: $94.19
HJ: $81.36
CO: $21.08
villain's stats
21/16 with 19k hands

1st raise in BTN = 54%
FT3B in BTN = 61%
Call 3B in BTN = 24%
4bet range in BTN = 7.3%

FTCB in 3BP = 43/35 (flop/turn)
Raise CB in 3BP = 13
WTSD=22, WWSF=43
Preflop ($0.75) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt Q A
UTG folds, HJ folds, CO folds, BN raises to $1, Hero raises to $4, BB folds, BN calls $3
i think its a easy value 3-bet in SB against 54% opening range
Flop ($8.75) 3 4 K (2 Players)
Hero bets $4.50, BN calls $4.50
standard c-bet
Turn ($17.75) 3 4 K J (2 Players)
Hero bets $11.50, BN calls $11.50
- i think his calling range OTF is
{KQ-KT, K9s, K8s, TT-88, some broadway+Jh} + some {A-high, QJ, QT, 77-55}
- Against this range, I'm not sure I like betting or checking.
- Vs. his main range, i dont have too much FE here, the FE is depends on how wide his weak-side range are. And its hard to say.
- I decide to just bet here cuz my read could be wrong and I pick up some equity. (and my equity seems like not bad?)
- Also by betting i can rep stronger range on later streets and wouldnt let my range capped
River ($40.75) 3 4 K J Q (2 Players)
Hero checks
- most of the weak-part of his range were folding OTT
- the Q strengthen both our range
- its not value by betting here
- he might fold his K9s/K8s but those are not the big part of his range
- so I decide to XF river if he bets
thoughts?

thanks

I think its fine he can def fold some PPs OTT, + You have decent equity vs Kx.

River not sure you block KQ... but i guess he has allot of KJ,KQ hmm yea only thing you can get him to fold is KTs i guess but thats only 3 combos. I guess c/f is fine.

Whats your plan on blanks tho ?

I guess you start by how wide he apparently calls 3bet on BTN. So he will have wide enough range for you to cbet and also bet that turn, a large part of his range will have the Ah that he will continue with so betting turn to fold those middle PP and not give AhXx a free card is fine also, against other tough players you need to know what you will do if villian raises turn with a draw, called and x/f river? Maybe x/c turn against thinking players will be better. His line looks like a week Kx or a pair with a heart or just a plain draw so betting turn and betting on blank river I think it's best. XF on the Q river looks fine though.

Preflop and flop look good for the reasons you stated.

I think that the turn is definitely a bet, with the plan of bluffing quite a few rivers (and hitting a few too). I think you get some immediate folds from the weaker parts of his range and as you said set yourself up for a river bet. On this specific river I would c/f though because I think it connects too well with his range. Also you are not perceived to bluff it and thus I don't expect you to ever get called by worse. I think your hand is a bit too strong to turn into a bluff. Also remember that the river can sometimes go check check and you will win vs 99, TT, Jx.

Having said that there are quite a few non board pairing rivers that I would consider jamming as a bluff to get him to fold the majority of his pair + heart hands.

hey thanks for your reply!
actually I'm not sure the strategy on blank river but i think i'd jamming the majority of the time.

I play flop/turn the same, as of river i'm probably x/f,x/c villain dependent. I dont think worst is calling here much, but I do see villain bluffing here when checked too. I feel like when we check the river villain can bluff a large portion of his range or bet for really thin value OTR.
