Zoom variance?
Hey
i have silly question but it will be great to get answer from cash players.
I was playing sng/mtt for really long time and i exactly know how variance wort there. Now i switched to zoom (nl25 atm) and im a little confused.
Just done 3hr sesion, fall down 6bi with not loosing big pot. It was something like opening / calling and didnt hit anything for 2k hands (yup, sample is silly and didn't mean anything) but is it normal? So i should just play my game and keep playing my ranges and just letting out if i miss ? (i mean, cbeting, or i even not cbething when flops hit my oponent range)
Will be nice to get some information:)
cheers

I can't give you advice on your play based from this because its impossible to know with the info you gave us.
However i can say that a 6BI downswing is not that rare and could certainly be explained by variance.
Just be cautious that you're not tilting! Tilting in zoom when you play so many hands quickly can have some awful results and really crush your winrate. Good luck!
There are no silly questions in poker. Except "isn't it mainly luck?" ;).
Anything can happen in 2k hands, it is completely within the realms of possibility to be card dead over this sample size; its not out of the ordinary at all. Keep doing what you're doing, and the results will come.
great, thank you. I know it's variance and 6 bi swing is nothing. I just was wonder is it possible that there will be no single flop to play after this number of hands :) I think i played at least decent :) anyway - thanks if anyone want to help me in my game switching i'll be very greatfull :D
The best way to get help from us is to post hands you are unsure about to the forums with your thought process and the reasons why you played the hand in the way that you did.
That way others can analyse both they way you are thinking and the way you are playing, and help to make sure you are doing things right.
Not much can be gotten from 2k hands it would still help if we knew your vpip/pfr tendency. The other thing to keep in mind is that Cash is a whole different kettle of fish to sng/mtt. Much more post flop play in cash and this might be a weakness you have but as such you'd need to be sharing hands and more stats for us to give any advice.
thank you,

i'll post my stats:
1st is my overal hands (not nice winnings at NL25 especialy when i was playing sng up to 60$ :D)
2nd is more or less from moment when i realised that x/r on river after my 3 shots its most of the time nuts, in general i tried not to bluff catch as much after i got some kind of aggression. Also i think i fixed a litle bit my opening ranges (i tried to play tighter)
If you can find any leaks in my game from stats it will be really great to know that:) I'll try put some hands after today sesion
