ZOOM 10NL Challenge Day 3 Hand 3

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $11.64
SB: $10.45 (Hero)
BB: $12.41
UTG: $4.07
MP: $17.70
CO: $13.89
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is SB with Q A
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.25, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.94, BB folds, MP calls $0.69
Both 3B and flatting are fine, versus most players I prefer playing a linear 3B-range SB-MP.
Flop ($1.98) Q 8 6
Hero bets $0.62, MP calls $0.62
Good flop to range-cbet small, in my opinion.
Turn ($3.22) Q 8 6 Q
Hero bets $1.94, MP calls $1.94
I saw in villain's HUD he has an extremely low AF. So even though I feel I should range-check normally OTT versus most players, since it gives villain a huge range advantage, exploitatively I strongly prefer betting versus this specific player type.
River ($7.10) Q 8 6 Q K
Hero checks, MP bets $3.20, Hero calls $3.20
OTR I was planning on XF'ing if he shipped. The river completes KQs, which is terrible for me. I think the king will cause him to pretty much fold all worse hands if I bet, so valuebetting isn't an option for me. And he is passive in a way where I just don't see him showing up with enough combo's to call down. When he decided to bet so small though, I looked him up for the following reasons:
- His 'thin' VB (AQ/QJs) become relatively more likely when betting small, whereas his 'strong' VB (KQ/88/66) become less likely. Were he to push AI I'm folding rather quickly, because I only split sometimes against his AQ hands, incidentally beat a bluf like JTs, but the vast majority of the time lose to his strong valuebets. I actually think the call versus this betsize is still quite close against this player.
