Hey guys!
I'm struggling in these spots when I got check/raise in 3bet pots.
We're deep, when villain makes this play OTT how do you play?
Do you think that hand was well played?

I posted similiar hand few minutes ago. But I knew who I'm likely playing against, and here can be tricky. Even though solvers won't ever fold this spot, by calling we can be losing money.
I would bet at least half pot OTF. Turn is tough. Depends on which hands he is bluffing in that spot. If x/r bluffs like fd, oesd and pair+draw you have to call. But when his x/r range is more value heavy like sets and two pairs, which i think it is, you can find a fold here.
Hey Alison95 , you could make it bigger pre.
Since you're about 150bb deep, it would be interesting to use a 11-12bb.
Go for at least half pot on the flop since you want to protect some pp from your range and have a better fold equity.
As played I'd bet bigger, close to 1psb and fold to a raise. But since you did bet 0.33psb on the flop and not large on the turn, his X/R range can be much wider compared to a 0.5psb OTF and 1psb OTT. As played I'm not happy but I'm inclined to call turn and river. River is good 'cos you crush his 2 pairs.
I think you played this well. Make a note on villain based on the hand and what they’re willing to call with.
Remember that you’re at a level where people are just learning how to play so they’re going to be calling with hands that aren’t profitable long term post flop.
Chalk it up to bingo and keep practicing. If I were to change anything I might suggest a smaller turn bet to keep more drawing hands and Ax hands in to see the river but the sizing you used is fine too.
Oops! My bad. I read Kd instead of Kh in your hand. Psb on the turn would be more effective imo than my original suggestion of 1/3 on the turn. Flop sizing looks good.
I will agree with above, and bet bigger flop. Maybe 60% of pot size. obviously we call turn since he will raise all his draws with AQs or TJ T9s etc, but river bet is a fold, hard but a fold.
In this spots at nl5 i believe on this river shove we are behind. Its a typical play of a set and we should adjust based on player notes and stats. Stats are important to understand what kind of villain we are against. Also would pay attention on villains timing in betting river, cause a thinking player would pause and think before betting river, where he misses his draws.
Any stats on villain?
Villain was playing 23/18, 7% 3bet, 73 ftcbet OTF on 558 hands , he was more inclined to passive side. Analyzing villain stats I think it's better fold OTR. He check/raise OTT is so value heavy because he was a bit passive.
