hi all,
the hand is played against an unknown, but I checked and he played 4 tables.
his cbet is unnecessarily large and very strong, do we need to defend AKo here?
my thoughts were if only call the AKs combos with BDFD we fold too much of our range, and if we only call pockets we do not cover A/K high runouts, so I called.
but maybe an exploitative fold is better?
my call-3b range is probably something like: 88+ AJs+ AQo+, KJs+ T9s+

Hey,
Assuming our opponent uses a multiple sizing strategy, which he should since using only this larger bet would cost him a bunch of money (although you could make a population read that he isn't, depending on how the 10nl zoom games play), we can expect this bet to favor his lower pp's and some Tx, plus a lower frequency of larger pairs which aren't as concerned about your range seeing another card. Your AK will likely perform better than hands like 88 and 99 here dominating some of the bluffs as well as having more equity vs the weaker value region. Additionally we would be letting our opponent have a very profitable flop bet if we fold as strong as AK here, I am guessing we will need to call with some lower overcards with a bdfd as well, even vs this bet size.

Against unknown I prefer a 4bet preflop with a powerful hand such as AK.
On the flop without any infos I fold.
