so i decided to call cause since his c bet frequency is high i tough he would c bet on lots of board
when flop arrive and i catch top pair i know hes c betting a lot so since board is wet i decideto raise my top pair.... should i just call?
what do you guys think about 4bet pf vs calling?

Interesting spot. I didnt have a good intuitive feel for this spot so I put a couple ranges into pio to see what would come out. Now please take this with a grain of salt as my preflop ranges could be significantly off but pio suggests leading this flop with like 95%+ of our range. With all 3 sets being a realistic part of our range I guess we have the range advantage here? I have villain on a 6% 3 bet range but it could be as tight as 4%.
As played c/c would be the default line. As played I think its prudent to fold.
x/c feels like hes gonna give up a lot on turn if hes just cbet bluff flop
what about 4 bet pf?
What do you want to achieve with a 4bet pf?
Asking this because I do not like a 4bet w/ AJs there.
Being 150bb deep you might want to consider shrinking your 4betting range rather than loosen it up. I find it hard to 4bet/call QQ or AK here this deep.
So without any reads, KK+, AQo seems like a good enough 4bet range (4bet/folding AQo).
This is a very narrow range and leaves us with a somewhat capped range if we only call 3bets, but for NL5 i dont think, we need to protect our calling range necessarily.
With such a small amount of 4bets we of course have to add several calling hands to defend enough, but 150bb deep I happily call 65s or A9s here.
glad to see you back friend!
yessir buddy back on the grind
6seven8 is right villain probably 3bet more than you think so i have more equity vs his range
