Would a GTO bot play a leading range in most HUNL spots?
Hey guys, a friend and I were having a debate about whether or not playing a leading range from OOP in HUNL as the preflop caller could ever be an optimal strategy. We were hoping you guys could chime in and settle this debate.
Assume HUNL 100bb
BTN 3x BB call
Flop xxx
BB?
I missed the majority of the Rider V Claudico match so I'm not sure if it occurred there (aside from Rider's explo min lead every hand oop). Let's assume someone had solved NLHE and created a bot to play that game. Would the bot's strategy include a leading range from OOP as the preflop caller? Having a leading game seems like it could be a powerful tool for the OOP player, yet It seems like no one does it at the moment. To all of you guys working with GTORB or similar pieces of software, are there ever any instances where it will recommend playing an OOP leading range as the preflop caller? If so, how much is range advantage a factor here?
Thanks,
-Jd
