Why is my solver bet/3-betting certain combos here, but calling the other combo?
Hi I have a 50 no limit tree set up with Hi-Jack vs. BTN with these ranges for a single raised pot on JT2tt with 75% bet sizes. On the flop the solver takes a bet 3-bet line with 2 combos off 22 with clubs, and not the last combo that has no clubs in it.....I have pictures lower down in the post. I don't understand why it uses the combos with a club to bet/3-bet when villain has no Axcc in his range.....Actually I don't understand it period, it would be helpful to know why it's doing this? Thanks.

Why won't BTN have any clubs? Based on the range above, he can have AQcc, A9cc, KQcc, K9cc, Q9cc, 98cc, 87cc, plus he can have KcQx and KxQc (backdoor stuff). So my guess would be, since we hold a blocker to clubs, you simply have more pot equity at this point in the hand, It's like a % point higher. If you put in some brick turns, those percentages are going to end up being about the same. So, when you hold the diamond/heart combo of 22, the board pairing and putting the 2c out there is going to complete some flushes, but now you hold the nuts and beat all of those flushes. It's almost like you want to bet/3bet to protect against flushes more with the 2c but you can be more passive because one of the remaining eight flush outs gives you a winner against the flush if they are, in fact drawing to the flush.
Yes correct, btn has clubs , I was wrong about that. I was somehow thinking he didn't have Ac2c for example and that somehow mattered.......Ok so far all I understand is this, if we have the club combo 2's we obviously have less chance of losing to a flush so we are blocking flush completing turns from beating us? And if we are behind now or on the turn maybe a runner club will bail us out?
I don't claim to be an expert on this but I will give it a shot:
22 with a club has more equity than 22 no club against entire button flop raising range which should intuitively make sense as we improve our equity against his FD hands as we remove a club from the deck. I don't know specifically what % of villains flop raising range contains clubs but I assume a non-negligible amount as we gain ~1.1% equity by having a club in our hand.
Hopefully this was helpful.
This makes sense, ty.
I'll get back to you guys, I have to go to work and I'll get back to you guys after I think about it.
