So, I've been working with PIO a bit more and trying to spot trends and understand how our equity vs equity affects our flop strategy.

In a basic scenario I was looking at, I 3b A4dd BB vs SB, OOP calls, flop comes Qh8h5c

We cbet 1/3, he calls, turn 3h

On the flop, equity was like 48% for OOP and 52% for IP(I'm rounding)

On the turn however, OOP equity increased to 53%ish and IP to 47%ish

On the flop, the closer the equities run, the more we check. When OOP, with an equity deficit, we end up checking close to range.

On the flop, OOP is check raising most sets, some strong top pair, most NFD.

On this turn, even with OOP lacking much nut hands, why is our equity lower than his? At first glance, I would think that when we have an equity deficit, we would begin to check alot on the turn. I also would have thought that we would have an equity increase, rather than a decrease when we have a huge nut advantage.

What I'm thinking is that because we have alot of air hands that cbet flop that arrive on turn, this filters our range a bit and this is why we drop in equity. However, this same effect is happening to the OOP range as well, when they are C/Ring alot of nutted combos/sets.

I guess the severe nut advantage is what gives us the ability to bet the turn so frequently.

My guess is that this is a common trend throughout tree's in general.(equity dropping for IP player; hence we begin to be more polarized; may have just answered my own question) Will pay close attention to it in later sims to see if it is indeed a trend, and if its relevant(and if so, please do share)
