Where to start? Haven't played seriously since BF
A little bit of background: I haven't played any online since BF and recently started watching some RIO videos to stay sharp and think about the game. It feels like the game has changed a ton and, at times, it feels like I'm watching a completely different game. For example, a lot of hands that used to be instant folds or 3bets from the blinds like A3 are standard defends or flats to 3bets now. Also feels like people aren't really raising flops with their sets as the game is more about range composition now. A lot of the things like thinking about range composition are either hard to implement and practice in the settings that I have to play poker (mostly small stakes live cash games and home games), and are actually less profitable than just playing exploitatatively.
Can someone provide a little bit of context about how the game has evolved and where it has come since BF? Also, there are certain things ingrained in my mindset as winning and losing plays - a lot of which has changed. For those of you who have been able to come back after awhile away from the game and adjust, do you have any advice on how to tear your game down and rebuild it with the latest concepts in mind?
