Where to play micros nowadays?

Hi guys. Where do you play micros? Or where would you play if had to play them? Where is the best rake/rakeback(bonuses)/softness combination?

I play on ignition. I'm told it has a really soft field, but it's anonymous and I'm not sure about any bonuses outside of an initial deposit bonus.

Edit. I guess your options also depends on if you live in the US or not and where.

I play on stars, I've tried others in the past but any other software tends to irritate me, and there's always a good amount of traffic.

+1 I can't play on pretty much any other site as their software is such an eyesore. Especially Party. Makes my eyes bleed.

You can use 3rd party software to improve the fonts etc on party and make it way easier on the eyes, but stars is indeed in a class of it's own. I think the difference between stars and other sites for playing in practice is exaggerated and it't not too difficult to get used to other sites after playing them for a week or two.

Can you? I did have a quick look when I played on them but couldn't find anything. If I ever go back I'll dig a bit deeper cause that would definitely improve things!

I'm in Ny, Americas Cardroom and Bet-online are my only options here, as far as I know. . Not sure if they're still accepting new players

Like you can see from the varied replies there is not one best site. It all depends on what you think is most important. Just make sure to sign up in a way that gives you good rakeback.

You mean use an affiliate like raketherake? I signed up through pokerstrategy back in the day when I first started playing poker but they don't give strategypoints (which can be used to view strategy content) anymore for what you pay in rake for my pokersite.

Do you think it would be worth it to create a new poker account so I can get extra rakeback? Is that allowed lol?

Which rakeback site would you recommend and how does it work exactly, how do you get paid?

Depends on the site if you want to create a new account for the site (partypoker seems to close inactive account and you have to make a new one, MPN and iPoker I'd create a new account on another skin). If you play on stars the answer is a big NO. Both raketherake and pokerstrategy have good deals. It all depends on the site you want to play on.

As far as I know. Stars has the best traffic and best software, yet is slightly tougher at all stakes.

888Poker and Party Poker are the 2 biggest sites with the softest players. They are both connected to huge gambling sites and have a lot of people who have just been playing blackjack/sports betting who want to try a dabble in poker and fully expecting to lose their money just like all gambling. But their software isn't anywhere near as good as stars/FT but from experience its still better than likes of iPoker and some of the american sites. And Party > 888. 888 and Party also have just as many bonuses as stars tbh.

Microgaming caps rake at 3bb. This hands down makes it better then anywhere else. At .5/.10 you pay a .30 cap. Most cap at 1$+.

Have you tested the waters at 100nl and higher on Microgaming? They have anonymous games, which is interesting. Tried that?

Ya I ve played some 50-100nl microgaming. Anon tables are strange but ya action can be good. I havent personally noticed a massive difference between there and stars in game quality. But I m not the best judge for sure. You need PT4 to have a hud on anon tables which sucks imo as I don t own it and don t really want to buy another tracker just for that.
