Where to find cheapish poker coaches/is it worth it?
So I know I have a lot I can still learn through playing and books and what not, but I was curious if anyone knows of coaches who do 15-20 for an hour. I'm mainly a 2nl/5nl player depending on whether I jump to betonline/bovada, and I can't really justify spending 30-50 dollars an hour. I feel like i'd get way more out of having 5-10BI over an hour of coaching, but If I could get 3 or so hours of coaching from a decent coach that's not too expensive, I feel like that could improve my game immensely. I'm not really looking for anyone who's crushing 200nl at 10bb/100 or something like that. I would more or less want someone who's beating 25nl at 3+bb/100 over a decent sample. I care more about teaching than I do results, because a really good player can be braindead when it comes to teaching, while a moderate player can knock a lot through your head.
I always watch videos on here of HH reviews and live commentary, but a lot of that really doesn't seem to really help my game all that much. As for other sources of study, I'm almost finished with crushing the micro stakes, and i've read easy game and Harrington on online poker. Both of which seem pretty dated. I'm just really struggling to even break even. I've seen a huge improvement in my game in the last few months, but I'm just getting frustrated that i've put in a fair amount of work and haven't really seen any results. I don't want to be rich playing poker, or even make a living wage, I just want to be able to beat the game. My goal by the end of march was 3bb/100 at 5nl which doesn't seem bad, but i'm already down $25/5BI after only 2.5k hands.
So I guess to get to the point, where do I go to find a poker coach, and would it really be worth it? I checked the 2+2 forums, but it's all paid advertisements and they are all really expensive. Other than that, I have no clue where to look. Thanks in advanced for replies!
