I am having problem on playing scary turns when I have monster on flop and a scary turn card come and SPR is relatively low. What is our best play here? can we ever check fold?? is bet 60 %/call shove the way to go?

Hey I usually play cash games up to 10nl, reason I'm playing 2nl is cause I went broke from mtts :D
Trying to build my roll on cash games again.
I have played up to 10 nl with some success but I always find these spots tricky and not really sure what the optimal play is. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Shoving is an overplay and it seems like you wanted to avoid an uncomfortable situation by shoving. So it's a good hand to post on forums, hands that are uncomfortable are often the most valuable ones.

I would check the turn. We're in a really awkward spot if villain shoves and we don't have 3 streets of value anyway. Againts a bet I would call, you still have 6 outs againts flushes and you beat bluffs like AQ with a club.

I am not sure what the best play is, but I do not think shoving the turn is the best idea. Hands like AK and KQ and KJ are hands you want to get value from, but you shove 2,5x the pot on the turn they will have a clear fold i think. By shoving the turn you almost turn your hand into a bluff by representing a flush, i think even a set of fives will have a really tough call here.

I think check calling is a better play here, I think he often will check back and when he bets he usually bet about 40-70% of the pot which you can call easily. Depending on the river you can either bet, check call/raise all in, or check fold if the river is a club. As said earlier i am not sure whats the optimal play, and i am not a pro, but I think checking or bet smaller on the turn is a better option.

I think you should check back your hand and act as if you're scared of the flush as well. Hopefully it isn't a 4th club that comes on the river. You can bet again and still represent the bluff once it was shown that both players are scared of (and probably don't have) the flush. Just bet most rivers. If you'll want to be able to bluff in this spot, you might want to choose a sizing that will match with future bluffs giving you a good price (1/2, 2/3, 3/4) or you can choose to overbet here and polarize your range between very strong hands and bluffs. Up to your style and the way your table/game is playing IMO.

I posted this hand on a really good twitch streamer/poker player and he advised that my play was good there. The key here is that we get to deny equity. SPR is so small and odd on the turn that I think the money will get in. we cant really check fold neither check call. The poker player /popular twitch streamer said that if we were deeper he prefers betting 60-70 per cent but against that stack sizes there is no other option than shoving, it kinda sucks when we up against a flush but we cant avoid losing if he has a flush anyway. Plus he may call us down with worse hand (i.e pair with a club)
