I'm in the US, just signed up for the site and after reading this thread from a few days ago, I get the feeling that I would be better off learning some basic strategy and just starting to play to get a feel before getting into more than that.

I'm willing to put in the work but for now I'm just looking for someone who can point me in the right direction such as fundamental strategy and helpful tools. Thanks for taking the time, any advice would be appreciated.
