I called the river because I assumed that he would not check a flush draw in the turn. So the only thing to fear would be 56s(possibly should bet that also in turn) and A5s. I didnt like his bet size...

Horrible spot but I wouldn't fold vs a perceived fun player (given flop action).
(In the future, hide the results.)
Preflop through turn is all good to me. Turn sizing can be bigger (more than pot, even), but it's not a huge issue.
I actually think this might need to be a fold, though. Unless we're being totally misled by an admittedly small sample, a 12/8 player's SB preflop range is heavily weighted towards this being a suited ace that's either become a flush or MAYBE a wheel. And we beat neither. The only bluff that really makes sense is QJs (not diamonds), and it's not super likely.
Their flop lead is kind of strange, though.
