Very Deep 5-10 NLH Live Hand
I played the following interesting hand this afternoon in a live 9 handed 5-10 game: LAG player (2000 stack) opens to 40, average playing short stack (320 stack) calls in the cutoff, hero (7000 stack) calls on the button with 7d5d, LAG pro (6000 stack) calls in the bb.
Pot is 165 with 4 way action going into the flop:
Flop is 7h 5h 2s
Pre-flop raiser checks, short stack goes all in for 280, hero flat calls the 280, LAG pro raises to 1120, hero calls.
Main pot is 1065 side pot is 1740 going into the turn.
Turn is 2h
LAG pro bets 1300, hero folds.
I strongly considered re-raising the flop but ultimately decided against it. I think the fold on the turn is standard. I would welcome any comments and suggestions. Thanks!
Spoiler: The river was a 5 and the LAG pro had 52 suited. The short stack had a flush draw.

I'd play it the same.
Surely with your 7 and 5 blocker this is a perfect opportunity to rep a boat. His most likely hand has to be a flush which I think you can get him off at this stack depth.
keys to being a "lag" live pro
A) open to 4x w any two suited from any position
B) make some full houses w said atc
C) whisper to yourself "I'm so sick" from behind your prada sunglasses as you rake the monies
D) never hit downswing in your 50k hand lifetime database
"Lag player" (pfr) x/f'd flop "lag pro" defended the bb closing action getting 4.5 to 1 with 52s with good relative position 600 bb's deep, seems totally fine.

Not saying you're full of shit, but I think it's better to give credit first of all, instead of not giving credit. The guy might do things better than you.
Sometimes even big fishes do some things pretty well.
haha im just talking trash doesnt mean anything :) its the internet
As played, I like the fold OTT.
However, I like a backraise shove OTF vs LAG pro. My reasoning:
- His raise, since one player is already all in, guarantees he is strong so I think we are likely to get it in good here vs overpair / A high Flush draw / Combo Draw
- Flatting gives away that we are strong, but does keep draws in our range,
On the other hand, flatting flop does have the advantage of inducing a huge barrel from an overpair when a brick hits the turn, but for the same reason we are potentially losing value from a scare turn like Xh or 6x, when the "LAGPRO" might get it in with [JJ+,AhXh, combo draws, and apparently 52] OTF here
"Lag pro":d
i'd play same i think
well played, feels really hard to get called by worse if we 3b on flop
i read BB REALLY strong otf. i think a xr with NFD by him is bad b/c it potentially folds out your weaker FD, plus even if he gets you to fold a pair he still has to race. xr'ing weaker FD gets even worse for similar reasons. xr'ing a hand like 99-JJ just seems like an overplay, tho i guess it could make sense to play those hands as XR's at small fqcys. seems bad OOP this deep tho.
that being said your removal factors are super sweet and i dunno if i could find a fold here on a lot of runoffs. the 2 is probably the best card in the deck for a clean fold. it cuts his 22 but improves his 52s, where losing the domination of 52s is way more hurtful than the gain some more removal on sets. maybe most importantly tho, from a bayesian perspective, is that him potentially raising a hand like 99-JJ XR'ing at even a 5% fqcy OTF offered you a LOT of equity, since you lose to so few combos. and now you just got counterfeited :(
